PROSPECTUS

Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. was founded in 1918 when Konosuke Matsushita made and marketed an improved attachment plug. Since its foundation Matsushita Electric has endeavored to fulfill its corporate mission of contributing to the progress and development of society and well-being of people all over the world. In commemoration of its 80th anniversary in 1998, Matsushita Electric decided to launch Panasonic Scholarship Program for privately-financed students from Asian countries to pursue mater’s course in Japan. We hope this scholarship will provide them with a good oppurtunity to do research at graduate schools and enable them to contribute to the development of their countries and to promote friendship between Asian countries and Japan in the 21st Century.

ELIGIBILITY

Privately-financed students from Asian countries who are university graduates under 30 years of age and wish to enter master’s courses of natural science and engineering area except Medical Science, Pharmacology and Dentistry at graduate schools in Japan.

CONTENTS OF PANASONIC SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Panasonic Scholarship will be provided for max. three years including max. one year of Japanese language training and study as research student and max. two years for master’s program. YEAR ONE : Japanese language training and study as research student 1. Monthly Scholarship : ¥ 150.000 per month 2. Arrival Allowance : max. ¥ 200.000 will be paid before and/ or after arrival in Japan 3. Tuition Fee Assistance : ¥ 250.000 will be paid in each semester The actual amount will be paid in case the tuition fee is less than ¥ 500.000/ year. Dalam upaya turut serta mendukung program pemerintah di bidang
pendidikan, Kelompok Usaha Bakrie (KUB) telah memulai sumbangsihnya
terhadap dunia pendidikan sejak lama, walaupun sifatnya tidak
sistematis. Beberapa bentuk sumbangan ke pendidikan tersebut diantaranya
adalah pemberian beasiswa kepada anak-anak lulusan SMA pemenang the
First Step to Nobel Prize ke universitas-universitas tertentu, melalui
unit-unit KUB yang langsung kepada masyarakat sekitar, atau anak dari
karyawan KUB. Dukungan yang lebih nyata bagi dunia pendidikan di tanah
air diwujudkan oleh KUB dengan mendirikan Bakrie School of Management
(BSM), dengan memberikan kesempatan kepada putra/putri Indonesia terbaik
untuk bergabung di Bakrie School of Management jurusan Management dan
Akuntansi melalui program beasiswa penuh.

Bentuk Beasiswa:

1. Bebas biaya kuliah selama periode 2007/2008 – 2010/2011 (4
tahun)

2. Bebas biaya TOEFL Preparation hingga mencapai nilai tes 600
selama 4 semester

Persyaratan:

1. Warganegara Indonesia.

2. Lulus pendidikan SMA/Aliyah atau sekolah kejuruan lain yang
sederajat dengan tahun kelulusan 2006/2007.

3. Nilai rapot semester 1 kelas 3 untuk bahasa Inggris 8, dan
Matematika 8.

4. Memiliki kemampuan bahasa Inggris dengan nilai TOEFL prediction
530 atau lebih

5. Membayar biaya ujian masuk sebesar Rp. 200,000.-

Bentuk Pengikatan:

Technology (CREAM) at the Universiti Putra Malaysia, is looking for
two Indonesian with strong background in biochemistry and/or
microbiology to do PhD study (by research) in year 2007. Successful
candidates will have an opportunity to choose one of the research
topics available: structural biology, bioinformatics, enzymology, and
molecular biology.

The ideal candidate(s) must meet these requirements:
- Not older than 35 years old
- Strong background in biochemistry and/or microbiology
- has Master's degree in a relevant field, OR Bachelor's degree with
First-Class Honours (IPK 3.50 or above) from top universities

DISTRIBUTION OF RFI TO CESU PARTNER INSTITUTIONS- PROJECT TITLE: MODELING OF NPS VISITATION TRENDS

North Atlantic Coast CESU contacts:

Attached please find an RFI (Request for Statements of Interest and
Qualifications) from the National Park Service Social Science Program,
soliciting interest for a project titled "Modeling of NPS Visitation
Trends." This project seeks to identify the significant variables
associated with National Park visitation trends over time, both at the
System level and at selected parks or groups of parks. Approximately
$50,000 is expected to be available to support this project.

This RFI is being distributed to partners of the national CESU network.

Review of Statements will begin January 15, 2007.

Dear MEG and FEM students,

the MEG programme has only recently been recognized
by DAAD as postgraduate program with relevance to developing countries. The big
advantage of belonging to the cercle of those MSc programmes is that DAAD
provides a limited number of scholarships for candidates. Unfortunately the
scholarships are not applicable for you, the students who already started the
program, but only for future students.

However, I would like to ask you a favor. The
deadline for application (winter semester 2007) is very soon, on 15 January. If
you know someone from a developing country with two years of professional
experience (this is an undispendsable prerequisite) and interest in
doing the MEG programme please inform him/her about this opportunity. For more
